Painter, stained glass designer, artist in various other art forms, Rose Eleanor Milne’s accomplishments, awards and medals are too numerous to list here, but are highlighted in The Canadian Who’s Who 2007 edition. Living in the Glebe since 1975, her home was originally owned by her grandparents. Janet MacKay, the other featured Ottawa sculptor during March, will be present at the March 8th Open House. Ms. MacKay will be showing her bronze sculpture series inspired by Wagner’s epic Opera “The Ring Cycle” depicting scenes and characters from the Opera and Mozart’s “Magic Flute”. Until last year, Janet MacKay held a position with the NCC as designer and project manager in addition to pursuing her passion as sculptor and painter. Free standing sculpture as well as wall sculpture will be the focus of her exhibit. These designs are unique and express the constant struggle and cycle of love and power, the end is the beginning and the beginning is the end.
