Larry Deacon
Inspired by travel throughout Canada and the USA, artist Larry Deacon is in constant search of something new in the vastness of the North American landscape. Whether viewing the majestic peaks of the Rocky Mountains or the rugged coastline of the eastern seaboard, Larry ventures off the beaten path to seek out that forgotten boat, or deserted lighthouse on a foggy morning.

Artist's Profile
After early experimentation in watercolor, pen and ink, acrylic and oil, Larry’s aesthetic insistence for substantive realism led to the discovery of egg tempera as a medium. Demonstrating mastery of this meticulous, arduous technique has struck a responsive chord with a wide audience. Currently, Deacon’s work reflects successful efforts in watercolor, airbrush and gouache. In addition to landscapes, he is equally proficient in florals, still life studies, and figurative compostions. His award winning art has been exhibited in numerous galleries across Ontario and many are in private collections throughout Canada.
