Rothwell Gallery November Exhibit: 4 - 28, 2009 Rozemarijn Oudejans Objects and landscapes that surround us every day are the inspiration to Rozemarijn's etchings. Her black-and-white and colour intaglio prints explore the beauty of nature and man-made landscapes around us. The visible embossment of the prints gives her work an almost tangible dimension and the prints allow for an unexpected new view on everyday subject matter. Vernissage: Friday November 6th, 6:00-8:00

September 10, 2009 New Sculptures Exciting new addition of sculptures by Hilde Lambrechts. These sculptures are a protest shaped in natural stone. They are characterized by strong lines, simple shapes with few details and a contrast between polished and non-polished areas and/or different chisel techniques. Hilde uses Brazilian soapstone, Quebec soapstone, serpentine, alabaster and Blackpearl soapstone. Art Classes are Back! July 11, 2009 A new exhibit has been added to the Events page - "Art from the Heart: A Tribute to Women", by Naela Chohan, Deputy High Commissioner for Pakistan. The exhibit runs from Wednesday July 22 - Saturday July 25, 2009. ___________________________________________________________________ May 21, 2009 Henna and glass painting workshops by visiting artist Kiran Soni Gupta have been added to the art classes section. We will be featuring artist Bina Mirza from June 3-28, hosting a special 3-day exhibit "Incredible India - Life in Colour" by artist Kiran Soni Gupta from June 12-14, and featuring our talented in-house artists in July and August. We are also holding a watercolour course by instructor and artist Leslie Dorofi - only 2 spaces left!
